Alijan Gulzar Shaikh | India
Alijan Gulzar Shaikh is a Pune based visual artist, who is
currently pursuing his B.Com from Abeda Inamdar Senior
College of Arts, Science and Commerce. He started his
work with chalks at the age of 15, carving portions of the
Taj Mahal and then went on to carve animals, cartoons,
portraits, objects and thereon. His work majorly spans
around chalk portraits he has made of his teachers,
friends and family. He has facilitated chalk carving
workshops for students from Teach For India, and Avsara
Academy in Pune. Alijan’s work has also been featured in
Teach for India and Vice, India. He will be presenting his
artwork for the first time at TIFA Working Studios.
