Big City Harmonics – the solo project of Rohan Hastak – a former guitarist turned live electronica act. A synergy of sampled elements and original compositions, Big City Harmonics has a grand design that includes hidden sounds and sweeping melodies. The converted bass player and co-songwriter was a part of a three-piece alt rock band called Kuru (now Poacher), while studying in Canada. Influenced by the likes of Bonobo, Four Tet and Nightmares on Wax, Rohan’s practical knowledge and intuitive ear for music made it easy for him to dive right into sampling and looping.
