Emily Bowman graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) in 2013, emerging as a contemporary dancer with a strong interest in Contact Improvisation and improvised performance. She is an organiser and facilitator of the Australian Contact Improvisation Convergence and was invited to teach at the Leviathan Studios (British Columbia). She was also awarded the 'ArtStart' grant as a young artist in Western Australia.
