Rishab Rikhiram Sharma | India & USA

Sitarist, music producer and mental health advocate Rishab Rikhiram Sharma, has already built a multifaceted career with global fame at the young age of twenty-four.

Following the lineage of the world-renowned Rikhi Ram family of luthiers from Delhi, Rishab was first introduced to the Sitar at the age of ten. Master luthier and Rishab’s father, Sanjay Sharma (Rikhi Ram), became his first Guru. Following years of unwavering dedication and commitment in 2011, Rishab was introduced on stage for the first time. The drive and diligence with which Rishab performed caught the Sitar Maestro, Pt. Ravi Shankar’s attention, who then took young Rishab as his youngest and last disciple. Under his tutelage, Rishab honed his talent with the utmost commitment and perseverance.

Since its inception, ‘Sitar for Mental Health has gathered a dedicated community of active members advocating for a strong dialogue surrounding mental health and healing through music. In 2022, Rishab was invited to perform his ‘Sitar for Mental Health' set for the first-ever Diwali event hosted at the White House by President of the United States Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Solo performances globally: USA, Canada, UK, India, Guyana and UAE.
